A little something on the personal side!
Teresa Marie and I spent a delightful week in Santa Fe for our anniversary in late June. We have been to Santa Fe several times and always enjoy the city - from the galleries and shops to interesting and quaint cafes and restaurants. Most of our visits have been for a long weekend; since we had a longer stay this time around we took a few day trips to see the countryside. I love to drive in that part of the country because the scenery is interesting! You never know what you will see around the next curve or over the next hill - red rock formations, mountains, high desert landscape or the Rio Grande gorge.
After the week in Santa Fe we flew over to Vegas for the wedding of James Peters (our audit manager) and Kristi Ellis. Teresa Marie and I have developed a close relationship with James and Kristi over the past six years that James has worked with us. They got married on 7/7/11 at Mandalay Bay on the Strip in Vegas. If you knew James and Kristi you would realize how appropriate the date and the venue was for them. Teresa Marie and I had never been to Vegas before, so there was much to see and do. We especially enjoyed the Cirque du Soleil Beatles Love show. However, we can honestly say that the high point of our Las Vegas trip was James and Kristi's wedding. They make a fine couple and it was great to meet their family and friends.
